The Goal, and What the Site Required
We walked the site before anything was planted. It was a brand new construction home, and the lot was pretty much all sand.
An initial consultation session gave us what we needed to move forward. The homeowners knew what they wanted, and they wanted it built around what was already there.
"Our vision was to incorporate what was already on the lot and have it be both natural as well as beautiful," said homeowner Jolene N. "We also had a lot of hardscape opportunities. We wanted a more modern look and they did a fantastic job with it."
The complication was distance. These clients were out of state while their home was being built, watching a construction project unfold from somewhere else and unable to walk the site themselves.

"One of my most favorite parts of building a house was actually working with the landscaping," Jolene said. "Everybody was amazingly courteous and kind, and the communication, I just can't say it enough, was amazing. I really loved the whole process."
The homeowners have continued with Greener Horizon for ongoing services to make sure the landscape keeps thriving. That is the pattern across our work. A project becomes a relationship, and the team that built the property is the team that maintains it.
